How it works
Pace (min per km) = 60 ÷ speed in km/h. For miles, use mph the same way. One mile is 1.609 km, so 10 km/h is 6.2 mph.
Treadmill runs count in the Run app too: choose an indoor run and Run uses your steps to measure it.
Questions
How do I convert treadmill speed to pace?
Divide 60 by the speed. At 10 km/h the pace is 60 ÷ 10 = 6:00 per km; at 6 mph it is 60 ÷ 6 = 10:00 per mile.
What treadmill speed is a jog for beginners?
Usually 7 to 9 km/h (4.3–5.6 mph). Pick the speed where you can still talk, and use 5–6 km/h for the walking breaks.
Should I set an incline on the treadmill?
A 1% incline makes treadmill running feel closer to running outside. It is optional for beginners: comfort first.
Let the app do the maths
Run tracks your pace, distance and heart rate on every run, and builds a plan from zero to 5K or 10K that adapts to how you feel.
